2013-03-04 – Regular Tatting Class – Vintage Lace with Martha Ess and more

Monday’s class is a challenge for even the experienced tatters! You
will be counting your stitches twice before joining and changing
directions more often than racing on the autobahn! But what a unique
piece of lace when you are done. This sample is prepared for us by
Martha Ess.
Frances Burgess has also revised the Frauberger pattern and diagrams to
show us how to tat that decorative lock stitch chain in one pass without
split rings!!!
And this vintage pattern with the latticed chains has had a diagram
added, too.

  1. So sorry I missed this amazing class. Was there discussion on if a solid would show off this edging to its best advantage or if variegated threads would work well too?
