Homework submitted 9-17

It’s great to be back in a regular schedule. At least for class! My intention is to post to this blog Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I missed posting Monday, the first day of class. No excuse except, well, no excuse.

Here’s the photos that have come in since last week:

First, Paule finished her summer UP (unfinished project) list:

Motif from Camisole Yoke

Fig 36 by Nellie Hall Youngburg

She used Altin Basak size 50 in blue, Flora size 20, and Olympus size 40 to work this pattern for the book.

Paule had a lot of problems with this pattern needing to “retro-tat” several times. She reports, “. But I finally finished it!!! Let that be a lesson to the beginners: never give up!!! You will succeed in the end!!! And let only the expert tatters who have no UP (unfinished project) lying in their tatting baskets, throw me the first stone!” I think it’s lovely! I still have quite a few UP and PHD (Project half done). No worries from my tatting bag, Paule.

Next Farida has been busy all summer. She also finished Wally’s Motif:

She must have been gardening when she finished the next 2 motifs:

Shanan Strode also contributed to the Nellie Hall Youngburg project with these 2 patterns:

The edging above was worked in Lizbeth size 20 Seagreen. The edging below is worked in Lizbeth size 20 Springtime.

She chose Lizbeth size 20 Salmon Lt and Seagreen Lt for the sample with pattern notes. What a clever idea to create a motif. This is worked in Lizbeth size 20 Springtime:

I can’t wait for more pictures! Keep them coming!!

See you in class!
