First in is Anita Barry with some work on the Daisy Medallion:

She writes, “As you can see I’m having fun with this dainty medallion.
The smaller example has twisted joined picots and tight “Onion” chains. The larger medallion has longer decorative picots (one side of the joining picot is pulled longer than the other side of the same picot). And the beige rings have less picots and appear a bit more tidy.   I tried different chain counts, too.
This was fun! It’s a pretty pattern to experiment with.”

Melanie tried out the edging using 4 different threads.
