One of the true gifts we receive when we participate in the OnLine Tatting class is the international friends we make. Muskaan shares some holiday tatting she has created for celebrations near her:
She writes, “This is a Rakhi/bracelet pattern for Raksha Bandhan. Worked in Anchor size 20 using Thrown rings, Josephine knot, and snowflake/heart motifs.
Another festival celebrated in India is Holi – a celebration of the coming of spring. It is a riot of colours & I have tried to depict this symbolically in my collage, where waters from different sources meet together & live in peaceful harmony (the flowers) . I converted it into a greeting card using Bliss in size 3 or 7 thread with rayon thread added for the spouts of water.
Rakhi/bracelet pattern for Raksha Bandhan . Worked in size 20 thread using Jennifer Williams “Flower using Two Layered Tatting” pattern with a split chain added.”

See you in class!
